W. Christopher Hillman
Chris is an experienced business/transactions attorney and civil litigator. His business practice focuses on counseling small and medium size businesses and family businesses. Chris works with his clients on a wide variety of issues including business formation, sale of business, real estate transactions, contract formation and negotiation, human resources and risk management.
His litigation practice includes construction litigation, commercial and personal injury litigation, and insurance litigation. Chris represents individuals and business entities in various actions including, construction defect and design litigation, product liability, premises liability, contract disputes, insurance coverage, fraud, misrepresentation and other torts. He has successfully defended individuals and business entities in Kansas and Missouri.
Chris speaks at continuing education programs, including a recent presentation at the National Business Institute’s seminar entitled, Construction Defect Litigation: From A to Z. He previously served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City – Young Lawyers Section.
