Spencer’s focus is on civil litigation, including insurance litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury. His practice further includes construction matters, employment and labor laws, landlord/tenant disputes, contract disputes, real estate issues, as well as business and corporate law.
Spencer obtained a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He attended law school in San Diego at California Western School of Law where he focused on business and employment law. He also competed on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Society and the Business Law Society. Additionally, he served as Dean Emeritus Michael Dessent’s research assistant and aided in writing an essay on the role of courts in contract cases. Spencer further authored his own article entitled, “Let Them Get a Bite,” which was published in 25th Edition of The Sports Lawyers Journal. The article explores a new perspective on the “pay for play” debate in college sports as he analyzes Division I NCAA non-scholarship athletes, who are afforded no benefits from the NCAA or their respective universities, and whether they should be entitled to minimum wage.
